Celebration Church

COVID-19 Safety Plan

At Celebration Church we are committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all who attend. This has become increasingly important in light of the recent COVID-19 situation in our state. To help combat the spread of COVID-19, and to create a safe environment for our church community we have implemented the following changes around our venue:

  1. Celebration Church is registered as a COVID Safe organisation: To learn more about what a “COVID Safe organisation” is, please click here.

  2. New signage: We’ve introduced new signage around our property educating our volunteers and attendees in how to best combat the spread off COVID-19, especially in gatherings of people.

  3. Hand sanitiser stations: You will now notice hand sanitiser stations around the church property. We encourage you to use these whenever you walk past one (at the entry/exit to every room).

  4. Safety officers: We have put together a COVID Safety Team. You will notice them in the brightly coloured vests. This team is there to help us be aware of the current government regulations and safe practices, and ensure they are being adhered to. This may include reminding you about the 1.5m social distancing and making sure you are sanitising often.

  5. Spacing: At the entry to each room on our property you will notice signs up stating the area's maximum capacity according to the 1 person per every 4m squared spacing. During our Sunday services you are able to sit with your family, however, there will be a 1.5m spacing between you and others who aren’t a part of your immediate family or household.

  6. Registration of attendees: The NSW State Government has asked that we keep a record of the names and phone numbers of attendees for a period of 4 weeks for the purposes of contact tracing. These details will be kept confidential. Once arriving on the property you will notice the COVID Safety Team at the Registration Desk where you will be required to sign in before entering the main courtyard.

  7. Online RSVP’s: In order to help us secure you a seat in one of our services, and so we do not have to turn people away due to limited spacing, we ask that all attendees RSVP online. This applies to new people and regular attendees as we are currently limited to 100 people on-site at any one time. You can RSVP for a service up to two weeks in advance at celebrationchurch.com.au/rsvp. If you are unable to RSVP online you can do so by calling our Church Office at (02) 4423 1756 or by messaging us on any of our social media platforms.

  8. Singing in church: Due to government, and denominational recommendations, we have limited communal singing in our services as it increases the risk of the spread of COVID-19 through the projection of moisture particles. This won’t be forever, as we are a church who love to sing together, however in the meantime it gives us a chance to learn how we can worship together though other expressions. To read more about the current government recommendations with regards to singing please click here

  9. Limited food service: We have currently limited food service in our after church cafe, however, the coffee cart will still be available before and after our services.

  10. Regular and thorough cleaning of the premises: Before and after all gatherings, we have trained teams who disinfect and clean our venue.

  11. Masks in church: The latest NSW State government recommendations are that attendees in places of worship wear masks in enclosed spaces. This is not a regulation but rather a recommendation. Wearing masking at this stage is NOT compulsory however we encourage those who want to wear them to wear them. For the latest government recommendations on masks in church please click here.

  12. Online church: If the NSW State Government decides to change the limit on church gatherings from 100 to 50, we will move back to online church. We will let you know if/when that's the case.
